Mr. Kishore Jain, started gold jewellery business three decades ago in 1980 in Nellore in A.P. A disciplined businessman, he quickly made a name for trust and quality in Gold manufacturing and supplying. However, conquering Nellore was not enough for this ambitious young man. In 1989, he foresaw the opportunity in organized jewellery retail. He felt there was a latent consumer need for a combination of delightful shopping experience, value for money and quality. Other smaller retailers operating then had difficulty in matching customer expectations on quality, price and range. After a detailed study of jewellery markets in India and abroad, Mr.Jain decided to foray into Chennai with his first retail outlet at NSC Bose Road in 1989 that has grown into a leading jewellery retail chain in 2012 with 22 stores spread across South India.
Mr. Kishore Jain not only hired the services of best professionals, external agencies & consultants to manage the operations but also augmented his personal knowledge in the areas which were critical for running and developing his chosen business. He paid attention to every minute detail in the business that had a bearing on the shopping experience. This ensured that the customers were always offered a delightful and unmatchable shopping experience at Khazana!
Jewellery retail was considered an owner managed business (or at best family managed) in its nascent years. It was inconceivable then that the management of a retail outlet with so many valuables can actually be run by a team of professionals. Mr. Kishore Jain broke this myth, pioneering with a professionally managed outlet, and triggered a mini revolution in jewellery retail arena. The entire business is managed professionally. The departments are clearly demarcated and headed by a manager.

Kannan holds a B.Com (Hons) degree from Calcutta University and ACS with 11 years of post qualification experience (including 6 years in retail domain) in areas such as finance, taxation, internal audit and company secretary. Major previous assignments include 4 years with Style Spa Furniture Ltd (KK Birla Group - Nov'00 to Aug'04) as Deputy Manager - Finance, 4 years with Upasana Finance Ltd (TVS Group - Jun'95 to May'99) as Senior Executive - Finance.
P. Dattatrai holds B.Sc Chemistry with MBA in Materials Management from IIMM and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with Graduate Diploma in Packaging Technology from IIP. He spent quality time for 6 years as the Asst. Manager in Sears Electronics Ltd and another 3 years as Asst. Manager for TTK Pharma. Mr. Dattatrai remained as the Sr. General Manager for 11 years from 1995 to 2006 in Amruthanjan Ltd. He has experience in handling Purchasing, Stores & Logistics functions of Supply Chain Management with additional involvement in Packaging Development and Quality Control.
Joseph has a Masters degree in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations and Labor Welfare , with 19 years experience in HR in Manufacturing, Retail, Service, Infrastructure ,BPO and Telecom. His area of expertise is in PMS, Employee Relations and Engagement, setting up the HR systems and processes for start ups, Talent Acquisition, International Business, HR Compliance, Organizational Restructuring, Competency Mapping and Innovative HR practices, Proficient at Team building with proven leadership skills, developing and implementing training interventions to enhance efficiency and motivational levels of employees.
Vincent has over 17 years of experience across Sales, Marketing, Merchandising and Planning and Supply Chain. He has worked in leading retail companies considered to be pioneers in their industry. His experience is essentially in the Lifestyle space with extensive exposure to Fine Jewellery and Watches. He has an in depth understanding of the Indian market which is complemented by his international experience in the Middle East.
He is a Post Graduate in Management from IIM Ahmedabad and an Economics graduate from Presidency College, Calcutta.
Sarita has over 2 decades experience in brand management and marketing. She has worked across product categories including FMCG, retail, watches, apparel, telecom and hospitality. Media management, digital and social media marketing, pre sales lead acquisition and customer insights and analytics have been effectively leveraged by her to build consideration, salience and loyalty for the brand. She has a post graduate qualification in Mass Communications.
M. Narasimha Rao holds Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from IGNOU with 16 years of experience in areas such as ERP, IT Infrastructure & POS Applications. He also had a good working exposure with ERP packages like SAP R3, Retail-POS products and Oracle EBS R12. From Jan 1999 to Nov 2005, Mr. Rao served at Rain Calcining Ltd (R.C.L) as an Incharge, IT.
Ashwin Bafna holds Masters degree in Business Management from University of Poona with 19 years of experience in FMCG, Service and retail Industr. In Retail and Jewellery he has worked in Indian and International markets with leading Retailers like Reliance jewels and ORRA. Core areas of expertise are Merchandising and Operations.
Sanka Indrani, is a qualified member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Madras. She had earlier served, Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Co. Ltd (as Management Trainee), IFMR Capital Finance Private Limited (as Company Secretary). Carrying two and half years of experience and wide exposure in her chosen field, she has now joined Khazana Jewellery Private Limited, as the Company Secretary.
